Follow the given steps to fix memory issue on your HP Laptop:

Hold the power button for at least 4-5 seconds to turn off the laptop.
Now, again press the power button to turn on the system and press Esc key repeatedly on the keyboard immediately just after turning on the laptop.
Release the key when the menu appears and then press F2 key.
Now, on the main menu, select Component Tests and proceed to next step.
When the Component Tests menu appears, go to Memory and select it to continue the process.
Next, when you enter into the Memory Test Window, select Fast Test from the available options.
Select Run once and the fast test will initiate.
Wait until the process gets complete. When complete, the results will be displayed on your computer screen.

Run the Quick Test if still there is a problem after passing the Fast test.
If in case, the memory passes the Quick Test and still you’re getting an issue with the computer memory then run the Extensive Test. The whole process can take 45 minutes or longer so, you’ve to keep patience until it finishes up.
